Meet the Venue Doctors, Susan Morrissey and Peter Kerwood

Susan

This is Susan Morrissey

Susan is a sales strategist and people developer with over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality, arts, visitor attraction, venue and spectator sports sectors. She’s worked with some of London’s most iconic venues including Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Somerset House and Kew Gardens.

She grew up working in her family’s  banqueting business before moving into events. As sales director she won over £200m of new business and managed 14 sales teams nationally.

For the last twenty years Susan has worked as a sales and marketing consultant, assisting and advising senior leadership teams facing a range of challenges. Her skills include business development strategies, brand strengthening, facilitating client relationships, post-acquisition sales structures, recruitment, and building best in class sales teams.

It’s fair to say Susan knows the UK venues market inside out.

Peter is a marketing all-rounder and creative problem solver with over 27 years’ experience delivering effective B2B and B2C communication and engagement strategies for brands that include LEGOLAND, Abbey Road Studios, The Roundhouse and LinkedIn.

He’s created sales and marketing strategies for over 100 venues, helped to launch 25 venues (the latest was Printworks) and he’s worked with six venue finding websites. Peter has his finger firmly on the pulse of the events world. 

One of his clients described him as the Swiss Army knife of events marketing with a bespoke tool for every challenge. Another client said: “If you want something no one else has done before and you want it done well, work with Peter” – We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
